TennerEats a proper meal, under a tenner

How to use TennerEats

Find a meal

On a place

Add a place

  1. Tap Add a place.
  2. Give the name and postcode, the meal you had and the price you paid. Sit down or takeaway, and times (lunch only, weekdays), are optional.
  3. Tap Add this place. A human checks it before it goes live.

The rules: independents only, a proper meal, £10 or less including tax and service, and a price you actually paid. See the rule on the About page.

Share a place from Google Maps (Android)

Install the app first (below). Then in Google Maps, open the place, tap Share and pick TennerEats. The add form opens with the name, address, postcode and the Maps link filled in. Check every field, add the meal and price, and submit. Nothing is sent until you tap Add.

Install the app

TennerEats works in any browser. Installing it puts it on your home screen, opens it full screen and lets it work with a weak signal. No app store, nothing to pay.

Shortcuts

On Android, press and hold the TennerEats icon for Add a place, Near me and Leaderboard.

No signal

Pages you have already opened still load without a connection. The map needs a signal to fetch new areas. Adding places, votes and price checks need a connection.

Bites and the leaderboard

You earn bites for helping: 10 for a new place that passes checking, 3 for a price check that is verified and 1 for a vote. The leaderboard shows the top 20.
